All my Fishing Excursions will start at 8:30 am from our Tambopata Hostel or we can pass to pick you up from your hotel, we will have 2 hour by car  4X4, the first part will be by the high way and the second part will be in a dirt route until we get to the Tambopata River near the limit to the Tambopata National Reserve. Our boat will be waiting for us to take us 25 minutes up the Tambopata river to get to our Lodge, we will have good chances to spot capybaras and many shore birds along the river bank, getting to the lodge we will get a welcome drink and the manager will explain us all we need to know about our lodge and its around. Right after lunch we will go to our first spot, it will be along the stream, you will have the chance to learn the local techniques, we will be specting to get some good bites from cat fish and sabalos, may be dog fish as well. Return to our lodge and have a typical jungle fish dinner.

Breakfast at the Lodge and then departure to the best fishing spots. Today you have the chance to catch the big one at the Baltimore Rapids PAYARAS.. Again a packed lunch is provided and refreshments for the day. We return to the lodge to take the dinner.  The evening can be spent relaxing and prepare the tackle for the next fishing day. Or we can take a short boat trip to look for caymans.      

Breakfast at the Lodge and departure to the Collpa area. A combination of lure and bait fishing day. Again a packed lunch is provided and refreshments for the day. We return to the lodge to get our luggage and then start the trip back to Puerto Maldonado.

Good to Know: For me, great Fishing Excursions is when people try catching fish and get it, when we catch you can choose if you realease it for you can take it to our Collpas Tambopata Inn lodge to have it for lunch or dinner.
